OUR STORY

Authentic coaching on the Costa del Sol

Based in Andalucía, Costa AV delivers year-round local and international football programmes for children, young players, adults, teams and academies.

Our work extends beyond drills. We develop technique, decision-making, fitness, communication and confidence while protecting each player’s individuality and creativity.

Through playing and coaching experience in England, Spain, Gibraltar, Scotland, Greece, Belgium and Colombia, our team brings a broad but practical view of the game.

CHAIRMAN

Jimmy Brown

Former professional footballer and qualified coach. Jimmy made history at Aston Villa as the club’s youngest first-team debutant and later its youngest captain. His professional contacts help talented players understand what higher-level opportunities require.

FOUNDER & HEAD COACH

Mel-Jose McCallum Brown

An active player with experience in England, Gibraltar and Spain. Mel combines modern football insight with qualifications in gym instruction and personal training. He coaches in English and Spanish.

ASSISTANT COACH

Santiago “Santi” Bustos

A coach and player with experience in Spain and Cali, Colombia. Santi brings specialist knowledge in speed, resistance, plyometrics and explosive power, together with an approachable coaching style.

ADMINISTRATION & MEDIA

Florence Coulon

Florence supports the smooth running of the company, records training and matches, and advises on Spanish learning and healthy nutrition. A qualified teacher, she speaks French, English and Spanish.
